On a Windows server, you may see the message "%1 is not a valid Windows NT application" when you attempt to access a CGI script. This is an indication that your server, which is most likely running Microsoft Internet Information Server, does not have Perl set up properly with the extension that you are using.
If you encounter this error when accessing the ftpdiag.cgi script, try renaming the file to "ftpdiag.pl" using your FTP program and then accessing the ftpdiag.pl script with your browser. The problem is resolved if the setup form now appears in your browser.
If the above suggestion fails to resolve the problem, or if you get this error message when accessing scripts with an already installed Discus board, you will need to properly configure your server (or have your web host do so) so that it will properly handle Perl scripts. Our instructions for configuring Microsoft IIS as well as other servers can be found in the Discus Support Center.
