Attachment uploading is a feature of Discus Professional and is not available in the freeware version. If you do not yet own a license for Discus Pro, you can purchase a license now.
Note: An attachment for Discus purposes is any file that is not an image. An attachment might be a Word document, a zip file, an MP3, ...
To upload an attachment to your post, within the "Add a Message" box, type the following:
\attach{description}
description can be anything you want. This text will be used as the alternate text for the attachment icon (for those without an image-capable browser) and will also be used to identify the attachment for you when you are prompted to upload it.
When you have composed your message, proceed to post your message as usual. You will then be prompted to supply file names for the attachments you selected. Follow on-screen instructions to upload the attachments to your posts.
In Discus Professional 4.0, the tables2 and tables3 skins include an alternate upload method that is easier than the one above. Simply click the "Upload Attachment..." button on the message form, and follow the instructions to upload your attachment. The attachment you add to your post will then be displayed in the preview.
