Do I have to display advertising banners in Discus?
Quite simply put, the answer is no. DiscusWare does not require you to display advertising banners if you run Discus Freeware or Discus Professional.
Please note that you must leave all copyright notices in the user interface and within the program source code. DiscusWare does not consider these copyright notices to be advertising, and these do not contain any links to the DiscusWare web site. Customers with a branding requirement to remove these copyright notices should contact DiscusWare.
For version 3.10 and below, Discus was distributed with a "board logo" by default, which said "powered by Discus" within that image. This is not considered to be an advertising banner, and you are permitted (and encouraged) to change the default board logo. You may also remove the "Powered by Discus" link from the topics page by editing your Main Message in Board Manager.
