Translations of Discus are available in several non-English languages thanks to the generosity of users around the world. The extent of the translation of the user interface varies from translation to translation. The translations offered for Discus Professional in any given language are identical to the translations for the freeware version.

Your language is chosen at one of the following points in the setup process:

• Telnet/Console Installation (3.10, 4.0+): Download the international version of Discus, which contains all non-English languages (or some subset thereof). You will choose your language when you run the 1st_install.pl/setup.pl or the upgrade.pl script.

• FTP Installation: Your language is chosen when you specify your board parameters on your ftpdiag.cgi (Setup Assistant) script.

• Telnet/Console Installation (3.01): Choose your language by downloading the appropriate file from DiscusWare's web site. The language translation, if any, is indicated in the file name.

It is not the intention of DiscusWare to release translations of any of the administrative functionality or the administration instructions. We strive to provide as complete of a translation as possible for the user interface, which is what your visitors will see. However, the administration program is too complex and dynamic to maintain translations. Thus, you can safely assume that the administration program will never be translated.

DiscusWare's translations are the efforts of volunteer translators and are provided with no warranty as to their accuracy or functionality. DiscusWare provides an English version of our scripts which we have written ourselves. However, third-party translations are of varying quality. To improve the quality of your translation, you may wish to translate Discus yourself or re-do parts that do not work properly. We are happy to receive any improvements or additional translations.
