Discus Freeware and Discus Professional are both organized around a "linear" discussion model, which features all of the messages in a given conversation being displayed on the same page. This is in contrast to a "threaded" model, where each message appears on its own page and replies are made to each individual message. All DiscusWare products support linear messaging only; neither support threading as defined herein.

We believe, for a variety of reasons, that the linear model is superior in many ways to the threaded model. However, if you are certain that the threaded model will be more appropriate for your needs, you will need to check out software that is designed around that model.
