The board title appears in numerous interfaces throughout the Discus program, including in the navigation bar for all pages (where the title is displayed as the link to the topics page) and in the browser's title bar. This procedure tells you how to change your board title.

Procedure - Discus 4.0+

Make a backup of your discus.conf file.
Edit your discus.conf file. There will be a line that says title=Your board title. Change the title appropriately.
Log into administration as the superuser. Go into Appearance Manager to the "Regeneration" section. Regenerate all pages in all topics. This makes the title change take effect on every message page on the board as well as in all utilities.

Procedure - Discus 3.10 and before

Make a backup of your discus.conf file.
Edit your discus.conf file. There will be a line that says title=Your board title. Change the title appropriately.
Log into administration as the superuser. Go into Board Manager to the "Board Appearance" section. Preview and save the board appearance. This makes the title change take effect on every message page on the board as well as in all utilities.
To change the title in all Discus documents, perform a board upgrade after changing discus.conf. All documentation files will be updated with the new title. Alternatively, you can manually edit the *.html documentation files where the old title appears.
