Changing the board contact information

Procedure for changing the contact information (which is the display of the board administrator contact information that appears on the contact moderators page and any error screens.

The "board contact" information defines a name and e-mail address for the board administrator. In the case of errors, the users of the board will be told to contact the person whose information is entered here. DiscusWare strongly encourages all customers to supply valid contact information here, for the benefit of board users who truly need assistance.

Discus 4.0 and higher

Log into administration as the board administrator and go to the Options Manager - Contact tab (in advanced mode). Enter a new contact name or e-mail address. Then click the button to save your options.

Discus 3.10

Log into administration as the board administrator and go to Options Manager. Enter a new contact name or e-mail address. Then click the button to save your options.

Discus 3.01 and before

First, make a backup of your discus.conf file. Then edit your discus.conf file. There will be a line that says

contact=Your contact information

Change the contact information appropriately.
